Rainbow Six Siege Operation Heavy Mettle Patch Notes Revealed

New patch notes come with new surprises.

The Y8S3 Season Test Server has experienced quite a few updates and patches since it's initial release. The latest notes, Operation Heavy Mettle, has been released and the first thing you'll want to note if you're interested in installing are the patch sizes on your respective platform of choice.

  • Xbox One: 5.85 GB
  • Xbox Series X: 6.76 GB
  • PlayStation 4: 5.45 GB
  • PlayStation 5: 5.85 GB

After that, a wide variety of different big fixes can be noted in gameplay including the fact that players were able to glitch through walls after manipulation a move with Exit Rappel and Breach Charges. There was also an issue in which bullet spread randomization was missing when hip firing that was fixed. Some players who used this particular bug might be a bit disappointed to find out that they can no longer skip reload animations as you pick up or swap out your weapons.

With respect to level design, several changes were also made including a stud now being visible in 2F Attic as well as in 1F Security Corridor of the Oregan map. A few texture flickers on the carpet in 1F Open Area of the Consulate map were fixed as well as all of the various diffuser planting and pickup issues.

Operators got an update in this patch as well with many of them focusing on Ram. Some of these changes include Ram's BU-GI getting stuck in the wall or being unable to break walls in different maps. With respect to the user experience, a few things were also changed including Ram's default uniform having a few visual issues, various UI issues, and various spectator mode issues.
