Ubisoft has revealed the newest operator to join Rainbow Six Siege's ever-growing cast of dangerous and interesting characters - Nøkk, a Danish attacker based on the Frogman Corps.
"Nøkk has been a mystery for quite some time. There is very little that anyone outside Rainbow knows about her. For an accomplished undercover agent whose work remains mostly unrecorded, it is amazing that she has managed to hold onto who she is at her core," the developers said when they revealed her aesthetic and released her character trailer.
"Focused and driven, she uses her special operations training to infiltrate, gather intel and defeat her opponents. As a member of the Jægerkorpset, she strikes fear into the hearts of anyone who goes up against her.
"On top of that, she harnesses a spirit of loyalty and leads by example to elevate the people she works with. Unlike the general population, her fellow Operators know who she is and welcomes her into the fold. The potential scandal her family might face is of little importance to them; she’s one of the best in her field, and they wouldn’t betray her even if it came to that."
Ubisoft confirmed gadget - worked on by Grace "Dokkaebi" Nam in the in-game lore - works like an invisibility cloak, making her "nothing short of a ghost", and leaving her opponents "looking over their shoulders."
The reveal for Nøkk confirms the leaks that were revealed by Rainbow Six Tracker late in April. With the Danish attacker revealed, it stands to reason that the Secret Service defender that was also teased, Warden, will be announced ahead of the new operation launch.
What do you think of Nøkk? She was billed as "instant fan-favourite" in the leaks, but do you agree that she'll be that popular as soon as she's released?
