The latest patch updates regarding Dread Factor in Rainbow Six Siege looks to be resolving a lot of issues that players had been faced with in the test server. To start things off, the download sizes of the patch for each platform is as follows:
- Ubisoft Connect : 8.58 GB
- Steam: 5.4 GB GB
- Xbox One: 6.26 GB
- Xbox Series X: 5.28 GB
- PlayStation 4: 6.44 GB
- PlayStation 5: 5.71 GB
Many bug fixes for gameplay were resolved including automatic weapons firing at the most sensitive trigger touch and various VFX issues. Level designs were also worked on so that players will no longer have to worry about getting stuck in certain places on the map or about other players receiving unfair advantages just because of glitches. More specifically, players will no longer be able to hide devices that stick to walls behind the bookshelf in 1F Visa Office of the Consulate map. At first glance, it looks as though most of the fixes are focused on the Consulate map and even more specifically, in the 2F Consul Office.
The rest of the patch notes detail fixes to operators Fenrir, Valkyrie, Mira, Finka Aruni, Iana, Solis, and Zero. The patches themselves primarily focus on various animation and effect issues that would either eliminate players immediately or be useless against enemies.
Lastly, beyond user experience fixes that are meant to tackle UI issues, localization issues, match replay issues, and more, the audio was also touched on. The notes detail that the audio in question is primarily linked to the SFX that play when they shouldn't. Now, "Taking the Lead" and "Enemy is Taking the Lead Now" lines will only play when they are meant to.
