Ubisoft has just released its latest update to Rainbow Six Siege, Y7S4.2. The most significant update is to the previously underused weapon attachment, the extended barrel. Ubisoft wanted this weapon attachment to be more viable, it previously didn't provide much value to players, other than decreasing the damage drop off over longer ranges. The latest update now gives players a 15% damage buff when they equip the extended barrel to their weapon.

With the 15% damage buff, some weapons are now arguably overpowered, some can even kill an enemy in two shots to the chest, provided they are 100 health.

Content creator BikiniBodhi shared a useful spreadsheet made by one of his subscribers "Wolf". The spreadsheet shows us the damage of weapons without an extended barrel, and the updated values with.

We can see in the NSTK1 column, that IQ and Grim's 552 Commando, Capitão's PARA-308, Maverick's M4 and Zero's SC3000K can all kill a 100 health enemy in two shots. Pay attention to the "STKDIF" columns, these show the shots-to-kill difference when the extended barrel is attached. STKDIF 1/2/3 indicates to the 3 different armour types operators have; 1 = 100 health, 2 = 110 health, 3 = 125 health.

If you want to explore the spreadsheet for yourself, it's attached here. It can be a bit confusing at first, there's a key on the far right which explains the column titles. The spreadsheet also includes updated time-to-kill values and more.
